YA is shrinking

Not the room, the collection.

You may notice books disappearing from the YA collection. I’m getting rid of things that don’t circulate much so that there’s more room for new books and in preparation for an eventual move to temporary quarters while the renovation/expansion is going on.

Afraid your favorite book of all time is going to get discarded? Check it out. I won’t be discarding anything that has been checked out in 2007 (or later) unless it’s damaged or a duplicate copy.

I’m going to try to keep the graphic novel collection intact (unless the books are damaged in some way), but if I discard one, it won’t be replaced immediately.

The nice thing about this, is that the books won’t be crammed so tightly that they’re impossible to remove from the shelves.
